According to Sylvester Stallone, Rocky was based on Jesus. On the other hand, one can't disagree with this sentiment:

The 60-year-old says, "It's like he was being chosen.
"If you look to God, you can overcome your past."
Just so.

It's funny--I've gotten two or three e-mail invitations to Rocky forums for pastors and preachers. I think Gibson really got something going with marketing movies to churches and faith-based organizations. It's big business.
