THE WINKLER TRIAL is about to being with jury selection. I admit to a curiosity about the entire affair. Past revelations indicate a Nigerian email scam was involved.

In my defense, I had zero interest in the Anna Nicole affair other than a mild (and perhaps mean spirited) hope that the father of the child would be Frederic von Anhalt for the sheer obscurity of it. As for the Winkler trial, when a 30-something evangelist at a Southern church of Christ is gunned down my antennae tend to perk up.
